Kitchener Prestige Flooring is a flooring installation and repair company based at 137 Glasgow Street in Kitchener. We install, refinish and repair residential and commercial floors across Waterloo Region, Wellington County and Halton Hills.
Our team has spent more than 16 years in the flooring trade and completed over 1,700 jobs, from single-room repairs to full commercial fit-outs. Flooring is all we do.

Kitchener Prestige Flooring grew out of more than 16 years of hands-on flooring work in Waterloo Region. Over that time our team has completed more than 1,700 jobs in homes, rentals, offices, shops and plants.
We set out to be the flooring company we would want to hire ourselves. That means showing up when we say we will, telling the truth about what a floor needs, and doing the preparation other companies skip.
Most local flooring businesses are showrooms that sell product and send the installation to a subcontractor. We are installers first.
Every job is handled by our own flooring specialists. The people who measure your floor are the people who prepare it, install it and walk it with you at the end.
Our crew works across wood, resilient, tile and stone, carpet, concrete and resin systems. That breadth lets us handle projects that mix several floors without juggling multiple contractors.
We are a licensed flooring contractor. Our installers train on the installation instructions and standards published by the manufacturers we install, so your material warranty stays valid.
We keep up with new products, adhesives and membranes as they come to market, and we test unfamiliar products on site before committing.
We carry liability insurance and WSIB coverage. Commercial clients and property managers can request our WSIB clearance certificate and a certificate of insurance before work starts.
In your home, we protect floors, doorways and furniture, keep the work area tidy and clean up at the end of each day.
Choosing a floor in a showroom under bright lights rarely matches how it looks in your home. We would rather help you decide in the actual room.
At your free in-home estimate, we can bring samples of the types of flooring you are considering, so you see colour and texture in your own light. We also explain the trade-offs honestly, including when a cheaper option will do the job.
Good flooring is mostly invisible preparation. These standards apply to every job.
We test wood subfloors with a pin meter and concrete with humidity probes or calcium chloride tests. Wood subfloors should read 12% or lower, and wood flooring must sit within 2 to 4% of that.
We check flatness with a straightedge against the flooring maker's tolerance, often 3/16 inch over 10 feet, and fix the subfloor before installing.
Flooring manufacturers publish installation instructions, and their warranties depend on them being followed. We follow them to the letter, from acclimation times to adhesive trowel sizes.
That protects the material warranty, which is often 25 years or more on quality products.
Every installation carries a written 1-year labour warranty. If something we installed fails because of our workmanship, we come back and fix it at no charge.
It covers problems like loose boards, failed joints, hollow tiles and squeaks caused by our installation. It does not cover damage from floods and leaks, misuse, or homes kept outside the flooring maker's humidity range.
The manufacturer's material warranty is separate. We explain both before you sign.
